We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to perform technical tasks in the pharmacy under the supervision of a pharmacist. The role involves generating reports, maintaining pharmacy inventory, assisting with medication preparation, and ensuring accurate and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers at the register and make phone calls to remind patients to pick up their medications.
- Receive and unpack orders, verify against invoices, price medications, and ensure proper stock flow.
- Maintain records of prescriptions filled and file them appropriately.
- Assist pharmacists in counting and pouring medications, and label medication containers.
- Obtain counseling information from the computer system and attach it to prescriptions.
- Place inventory orders and manage stock levels.
- Maintain cleanliness in the pharmacy and clean utensils and equipment.
- Run daily and monthly reports to track pharmacy performance.
- Assist in removing expired medications from stock.
- Answer the phone and direct pertinent inquiries to pharmacists.
- Enter prescription data into the computer system and print labels.
- Process orders for medication replenishment.
- Help maintain inventory levels in the stock room and input invoices of medicine ordered.
- Assist in conducting yearly and monthly inventory counts and prepare reports as needed.
- Retrieve bags not picked up after 10 working days for return to stock processing.
- Receive and transmit refill authorization requests.
- Deliver medications using the company vehicle within the service area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Fluent in English / Spanish.
- Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.
- 2-3 years of prior customer service experience required.
