Position Overview

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to perform technical tasks in the pharmacy under the supervision of a pharmacist. The role involves generating reports, maintaining pharmacy inventory, assisting with medication preparation, and ensuring accurate and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the register and make phone calls to remind patients to pick up their medications.
• Receive and unpack orders, verify against invoices, price medications, and ensure proper stock flow.
• Maintain records of prescriptions filled and file them appropriately.
• Assist pharmacists in counting and pouring medications, and label medication containers.
• Obtain counseling information from the computer system and attach it to prescriptions.
• Place inventory orders and manage stock levels.
• Maintain cleanliness in the pharmacy and clean utensils and equipment.
• Run daily and monthly reports to track pharmacy performance.
• Assist in removing expired medications from stock.
• Answer the phone and direct pertinent inquiries to pharmacists.
• Enter prescription data into the computer system and print labels.
• Process orders for medication replenishment.
• Help maintain inventory levels in the stock room and input invoices of medicine ordered.
• Assist in conducting yearly and monthly inventory counts and prepare reports as needed.
• Retrieve bags not picked up after 10 working days for return to stock processing.
• Receive and transmit refill authorization requests.
• Deliver medications using the company vehicle within the service area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Requirements

• Fluent in English / Spanish.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• 2-3 years of prior customer service experience required.
