We are currently seeking a Powerhouse Maintenance Technician responsible for operating and maintaining complex machinery and electrical components in a powerhouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of steam boilers, air compressors, electrical equipment, automatic boiler controls, pumps, motors, and pressurized piping systems.
- Conduct chemical testing to maintain proper boiler operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components, including analog and digital control systems.
- Use hand tools and pipe fitting machinery; bend, thread, and cut pipes; solder and sweat copper joints as needed.
- Maintain and install high-pressure steam systems, traps, strainers, regulators, valves, and insulation throughout the facility.
- Interpret and follow mechanical drawings, electrical and plumbing schematics.
- Input and manage data using the energy management system.
Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Powerhouse Technician.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- 5 or more years of full-time powerhouse technician experience.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with steam boilers, air compressors, and complex electrical equipment
- Powerhouse maintenance experience.
