Press Brake Operator on 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday 4:00pm – 2:30am (plus $3.00 shift differential per hr.)
Job Description
SPS is looking for a self-motivated, energetic individual who is ready to thrive in our rapidly growing organization. We are looking for a second shift Press Brake Operator.
Overall Responsibility
- Set-up/run press brake according to programs and preset parameters.
- Operate state of the art Amada Press Brake with ATC (automatic tool changer)
- Check quality of product machined and notify supervisor of process issues.
Key Job Duties (not exhaustive)
- Review program and select correct raw material
- Monitor performance and make appropriate operator level adjustments as required
- Perform operator level maintenance as needed, daily and as scheduled
- Maintain proper documentation required for production and maintenance
- Inspect and perform final cleanup of parts as needed
- Continuously maintain exceptionally clean/organized work area
- Assist in other areas of metal prep department as needed
- Assist maintenance department with scheduled maintenance/repairs as needed
- Able to use measuring equipment: tape measure and micrometer.
- Understand mathematics to verify job requirements and specifications.
- Hold high quality standards to meet customer specifications.
- Follow company policy and standards.
- Able to operate fork lifts and hoists.
- Keep work centers clean and orderly.
- Able to take and follow directives.
Required Skills and Experience
- 1 years Fabrication/Manufacturing experience.
- 1 years press brake operation experience

- Ability to work and function as a team.
- Self-motivated and can work without much supervision.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal).
- Strong blue-print reading skills with attention to detail.
- Is safety minded and puts safety first while preforming job duties and functions.

Educational Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
