What are the responsibilities and job description for the Datacenter Technician position at Swoon?
Duration: 12-months
Location: On-site (Hillsboro, OR 97124)
Responsibilities:
- - Replace ticketed component (HDD, SSD, DIMM, PSU, fan)
- - Receive/send packages for replaced components (RMAs)
- - Assist with regular site maintenance activity (inventory, cleanup, etc.)
- - Escalate complex and/or abnormal issues on site with the DCO team
- - This role is not limited to a single data center location, role will support all Hillsboro, OR locations.
Requirements
- Experience with desktop PC and/or datacenter server hardware
- Intermediate knowledge of linux, operational understanding of and how to modify/add dns zone files, experience using version control such as git or hg, basic scripting and regular expressions
- Able to lift 20-30lbs on a daily basis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time and project management skills
