AV Installation Technician - Join Our Growing Team!
We are seeking a motivated AV Installation Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, setup, and configuration of various audio-visual systems, primarily focusing on Microsoft Teams Rooms and related hardware. You will play a crucial part in ensuring our meeting spaces are equipped with the latest technology for optimal communication and productivity.
What You'll Do:
Hardware Installation & Setup:
- Install plug-and-play USB camera bars for huddle rooms.
- Remount monitors, making necessary adjustments for optimal viewing.
- Replace network switches according to standard setup documentation.
Larger Meeting Room Installations:
- Install and replace more complex camera systems.
- Upgrade monitors and configure related software.
- Work with Microsoft Teams Rooms (Windows-based).
- Ensure ADA compliance in all installations.
- Update firmware and apply necessary software updates.
Meeting Room System Setup:
- Configure Microsoft Teams settings.
- Install and manage PC-based systems for meetings.
- Set up MS Teams to launch automatically upon room entry.
Integration & Booking:
- Integrate with MS Outlook for room booking.
- Install and configure Android (plug-and-play) and Windows-based meeting rooms.
Work Process & Documentation:
- Follow detailed instructions and position documents.
- Utilize examples and demos as installation references.
- Maintain consistent and repeatable results across installations.
Service & Support:
- Provide service for existing office/meeting spaces.
- Perform construction-less setup of USB-based peripherals (plug-and-play).
- Perform basic programming and setup of devices to corporate standards.
- Troubleshooting support will be provided by the support team.
Crestron UC Engines:
- Experience working with Crestron UC engines in a Windows Teams Room environment is required.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience with hardware installation and setup, particularly AV equipment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Rooms and related technologies.
- Understanding of basic network configurations.
- Experience with Crestron UC Engines.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Entry level techs are welcome, and will be supported through the team.
