What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Improvement Project Manager position at Swoon?
Swoon is hiring for our Insurance Client for a fully remote role - must work CST hours.
This is a 12-month contract opportunity with Benefits - Health, Dental & Vision (50% of premium covered for contractor).
Role Summary:
This role leads the planning and execution of cross-functional projects and initiatives within a multinational operations group. The focus is on driving process improvements and system transformations to enhance efficiency and quality across business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with key business stakeholders (Underwriters, Servicing Teams – both US and Global)
- Identify opportunities for improvement, conduct process mapping, and perform data analysis
- Design and propose solutions, develop timelines, and facilitate meetings to drive progress
- Work closely with IT to define requirements for system enhancements or robotic solutions
- Oversee solution testing, rollout planning, documentation, SOP creation, and business enablement (training/communication)
Project Example:
- Document current process workflows
- Design and integrate robotic solutions
- Define technical requirements with IT
- Develop testing strategy and execution plan
- Create rollout strategy including documentation, SOPs, and training materials for business adoption
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Strong data analytics skills (pivot tables, advanced Excel formulas); not looking for macro/VBA-level experience
- Project/Operations/Process-oriented background
- Degree helpful but not required
- PMP and/or Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
- Experience in insurance or multinational environments is a nice-to-have, not mandatory
