Swope Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is part of the Swope Family of Dealerships with locations throughout the Hardin County area. Swope has been in the Hardin County area for over 70 years. Swope Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is looking for an EXPERIENCED Automotive Technician in their temperature controlled service department. The technician will :
Diagnose and perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
Complete full multi-point inspections and provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
Communicate with Service Advisor’s to ensure efficient work flow.
Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
Ability to provide clear communication and feedback about customer vehicles.
Perform battery test when appropriate.
Promote teamwork to deliver the best customer experience.
Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
Requirements :
Prefer 1-3 years of experience on a main line in a service shop.
High School diploma or GED.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong diagnostic capabilities and computer skills
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean and treated with respect.
Maintain a neat, clean and orderly work area.
Must maintain integrity, honesty, and work ethics.
Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, including consumer tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting.
Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
All potential employees must pass pre-employment testing to include a background check and drug screen.
Provide ASE Certifications and Chrysler Certifications where applicable.
