Swope Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is looking for an EXPERIENCED Automotive Technician in their temperature controlled service department. The technician will:
- Diagnose and perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Complete full multi-point inspections and provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
- Communicate with Service Advisor’s to ensure efficient work flow.
- Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
- Ability to provide clear communication and feedback about customer vehicles.
- Perform battery test when appropriate.
- Promote teamwork to deliver the best customer experience.
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
Requirements
- Prefer 1-3 years of experience on a main line in a service shop.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
- Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong diagnostic capabilities and computer skills
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean and treated with respect.
- Maintain a neat, clean and orderly work area.
- Must maintain integrity, honesty, and work ethics.
- Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, including consumer tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
- All potential employees must pass pre-employment testing to include a background check and drug screen.
- Provide ASE Certifications and Chrysler Certifications where applicable.

Flat Rate $28-$32/hour based on experience.
