What are the responsibilities and job description for the BH Enrollment Specialist position at Swope Health?
Enrollment Specialist to provide assistance to individuals and families in applying for Medicaid, food stamps, disability, and housing assistance. They will also provide referrals to other community programs as appropriate.
Successful Candidates with have:

Assist with applying for and maintaining coverage of the following benefits:
- MO HealthNet
- SSI or SSDI as appropriate
- SNAP, QMB, and Housing as appropriate
- Facilitate referrals to ambulatory, other Behavioral Health programs, and outside agencies
- Follow protocols, procedures, and policies to guide care
- Follow department workflow standards
- Maintain access to state and federal sites bi-monthly
- Monitor monthly approvals and report to appropriate departments
- Submit reports as required
- Tracking and reporting of data on spreadsheets
- Able to multitask
- Complete all documentation required within the agency’s deadlines
- Knowledge of how to efficiently outreach and follow up with clients in person and over the phone
- Basic administrative functions including drafting letters, electronic scanning/records management, and telephone communications
- Complies with computer security guidelines and confidentiality of both patients and staff
- Maintains and supports an environment conducive to the care and welfare of clients and co-workers
- Attends all required training and continuing education as required or provided
- Other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned
Education/Qualification:
- High School Diploma: Experience may replace education requirement depending upon job duties.
- Knowledgeable of computer, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, basic data entry, electronic medical record
3-5 years related experience preferred - Strong communication written and verbal skills; professional telephone etiquette
- Strong organizational skills
