ASSOCIATE SPECIALIST - SPECIALIST - Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

  • Support the success of internal inclusion activities and external out events.
  • Coordinate key requirements in planning and executing on campus celebrations.
  • Collaborate with other key areas to support various initiatives.
  • Work closely with Program Manager to plan, organize, and execute monthly celebrations.
  • Draft communications for program announcements, celebrations, and special events.
  • Maintain rosters and administratively support Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
  • Support the annual SwRI-United Way campaign
  • Stay apprised of best practices and recommended strategies for continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and improvements to the overall program.
  • Requires a Bachelors degree in DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), Human Resources, Communications or related degree fields.
  • 1-3 years : Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of developing and executing engagement or inclusion activities.
  • 1-3 years : Interpersonal skills with the ability to comfortably communicate and partner effectively with diverse populations.
  • Oral and written communication skills needed for creating presentations and drafting communications utilizing Microsoft Office products.
  • A valid / clear driver's license is required.
