Job Summary:
The Operations Manager - Supply Chain Inventory Product Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing the inventory planning procurement and supplier relationships. The role is a highly strategic and execution focused role that requires close cross-functional partnerships. The individual will drive streamline inventory procurement, optimize supply chain efficiency, and enhance last-mile delivery operations through data-driven strategies for seamless operations .
Salary Range: $100,000-$130,000 annually
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Procurement and Supplier Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers that align with Swyft’s cost, quality, and operational goals.
- Consolidate and expand supplier relationships based on operational efficiencies.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, lead times and service level agreements (SLAs) with suppliers to optimize procurement costs.
- Build strong relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure consistent supply chain performance.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies that balance cost, risk, and operational efficiency.
2. Risk Management and Compliance
- Develop risk mitigation strategies to address supply chain disruptions and vendor-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, product expiration dates, procurement policies, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Monitor supplier performance against SLAs and take corrective actions as needed.
- Partner with technology teams to integrate procurement automation and real-time inventory tracking solutions.
- Plan and action SKU changes, end-of life products and vendor product updates including packaging.
3. Product Assortment Optimization and Availability
- Ensure purchase order demand meets supplier execution and demand planning
- Continue to optimize assortment availability, SKU customer demands exceed lead times and make industry leading products recommendations
- Monitor inventory turnover rates, product fulfillment rates to improve efficiency
- Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising product availability or quality including product margin maximization
- Leverage data analytics and demand forecasting models to prevent stock-outs and minimize excess inventory.
- Work cross-functionally with sales, operations, and finance teams to align inventory plans with business needs.
4. Operations
- Vend testing: Hands-on work with teams and retail partners to test new products for performance, customer demand, and operational feasibility.
- Overpack: Manage the procurement of overpacks to ensure cost-effective purchasing while balancing operational efficiency.
- Ensure that selected products align with Swyft’s operational capabilities, replenishment cycles, and space constraints.
- Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and operational constraints to optimize the product assortment. Collaborate to determine which products drive the highest revenue and engagement.
- Develop strategies for phasing out underperforming SKUs and introducing high-potential products.
