MECHANICAL DESIGNER (Entry Level)
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Swygert & Associates is a well established mechanical engineering consulting firm that is hiring an entry level mechanical designer. The ideal candidate will possess a mechanical engineering degree or will be pursuing a mechanical engineering degree with the career goal to obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Candidate’s responsibilities would include preparation of mechanical HVAC and Plumbing construction drawings utilizing Revit computer drafting software.
Candidate will be involved with designing mechanical systems for a variety of project types, including education (K-12 and higher education), municipal, worship, office, medical, data centers, office / warehouse, high / low rise long term care facilities, food service facilities, retail and other commercial buildings.
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
- EIT is preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and manage multiple projects, tasks and deadlines, and bring each to completion
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience in computer design software, for example AutoCAD or REVIT, is preferred but not required
- Experience with industry standard software, including but not limited to Microsoft products
- Involvement with American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers ( ASHRAE ) is beneficial, but not required
- Part time employment as a Mechanical Engineering Intern is available while candidate continues to pursue a mechanical engineering degree
