MECHANICAL ENGINEER
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Swygert & Associates is a well established mechanical engineering consulting firm that is hiring an experienced mechanical consulting engineer. The ideal candidate will possess a mechanical engineering degree with a Professional Engineer (PE) license or the career goal to obtain a PE license. The ideal candidate would possess leadership skills and a career goal to include partnership.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Candidate’s responsibilities would include preparation of mechanical HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection construction drawings utilizing Revit computer drafting software. Candidate’s responsibilities also include Construction Administration entailing shop drawing review and project site field verification.
Candidate will be involved with designing mechanical systems for a variety of project types, including education (K-12 and higher education), municipal, worship, office, medical, data centers, office / warehouse, high / low rise long term care facilities, food service facilities, retail and other commercial buildings.
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
- Minimum 5 years experience as a mechanical consulting is preferred but not required
- PE license is preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and manage multiple projects, tasks and deadlines, and bring each to completion
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience in computer design software, for example AutoCAD or REVIT, is required
- Experience with industry standard software, including but not limited to Microsoft products
