Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software systems, networks, printers, and scanners
- Respond to IT support requests in a timely manner
- Provide technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
- Set up accounts for new users and assist with password resets
- Maintain IT infrastructure including servers and workstations
- Collaborate with the help desk team to resolve technical issues
- Document all troubleshooting steps and resolutions in the ticketing system
Skills
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols
- Experience with software troubleshooting and installation
- Familiarity with Jira for issue tracking
- Ability to provide desktop support for both hardware and software issues
- Understanding of IT infrastructure components such as servers and switches
- Excellent customer service skills for interacting with end-users
