Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, ensuring that their hardware and software systems operate efficiently. You will troubleshoot issues related to operating systems, applications, and mobile devices while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Duties
- Provide technical support and assistance to users via help desk services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues across various operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop computers, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Support Windows Server environments and ensure proper functionality within LAN setups.
- Document all support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system for future reference.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to implement new technologies and improve existing systems.
- Educate users on best practices for software usage and security protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance on hardware and software to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in technical support or help desk roles.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and office applications.
- Proficiency in software troubleshooting across various platforms.
- Familiarity with mobile devices and their integration into corporate environments.
- Experience with Windows Server management is a plus.
- Understanding of Local Area Network (LAN) configurations and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
