We’re looking for an experienced customer service representative. The ideal candidate for this role will have a bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry or related Science Discipline, be highly organized, have a strong work ethic, and have very strong verbal and written communication skills. Daily duties will revolve around taking inbound customer calls, entering leads into our CRM system, following up with leads to place orders or sending quotes, and making outbound calls to potential customers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly lead generation, follow up and sales goals.
- Field questions via phone, email, or online chat from prospective and existing customers.
- Assist with customer orders, complaints, shipments, cancellations, and other queries.
- Maintain strict customer standards and customer confidentiality.
- Process orders, prepare correspondences and fulfill customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Work with customers to find what they want, create solutions, and ensure a smooth sales process.
- Liaison between customers and vendors to ensure ordered products are in stock, lead times are acceptable, and tracking information is provided in a timely fashion.
- Keep records of customer interactions, customer contacts, and account updates in Hubspot CRM.
- Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of customers to meet their needs.
- Work hand in hand with the sales team to create and review quotes to ensure that the products offered satisfy buying requirements and company margin expectations.
- Prepare and submit weekly sales reports to management.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Biology, Science, or another Life Sciences major.
- Experience in Genomics Research, Cell Biology Research, Proteomics or Analytical Chemistry a big plus.
- Two years experience in eCommerce, call center, or technical support is preferred.
- Two years experience in a professional working environment.
- Strong computer skills for documentation and data management (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.).
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks, highly organized.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced work environments.
