Sylvamo’s Global Business IT organization strives to align processes and technologies with business strategy. The Business IT Analyst II – Converting and Commercial Printing Papers, North America will work to enable customer and product centric business objectives. They will collaborate with NAP Converting and Commercial Printing Papers teams to identify, manage and execute improvements to business processes and systems. This involves conceptualizing, justifying and leading a variety of small to large size IT projects, finding innovative uses of emerging technologies, and supporting key business processes. This role is will report to Sylvamo’s Global Business IT Manager, Commercial Excellence North America.ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Engage in proactive partnerships with business and IT colleagues to understand business strategies, priorities, direction, challenges and opportunitiesManage a variety of small to large projects to drive business improvements including:Develop requirements, scope, and objectives based on user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems Identify, define, and assess options through independent research and collaboration with IT and external partnersTrack progress, communicate milestones, and escalate issues Coordinate testing, change management, training, and deployment activities in a cross team environmentSupport sales and product management processes including customer EDI integrations and business analyticsIdentify innovation proof of concept opportunities, design, lead, and execute proofs of concept to quickly determine viability of success Embrace and promote agility within the organization, use agile processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team and organizationKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Strategic:• Build relationships with business partners and engage with both business and IT colleagues in the identification and structuring of solutions to ensure alignment with their requirements• Understand business and supporting functional group strategies, priorities, direction, challenges and opportunities • Proactively and suggestively “sell” and deliver IT improvement ideas that facilitate the attainment of the Converting and Commercial Printing sales and product teams’ strategies• Drive collaborative IT/Business solutions which further enhance the overall operational efficiency and effectiveness of NAP’s Converting and Commercial Printing sales processes and systemsCustomers:• Develop relationships and collaborate with business partners to create value for Sylvamo customers• Seek out innovative uses of existing or emerging technologies that can add business value and enable our business partners to provide superior service to our customers and gain and retain a competitive advantage in the marketplace Operational Excellence:• Seek out value added opportunities to improve business processes and technical solutions• Understand and work within the framework of a variety of project methodologies and the IT Operating Model• Proactively network with business/process owners, Information Technology, and external sources in search of technologies that can add business value JOB REQUIREMENTS:• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or related field• 8 years IT/related experience• Understanding of the paper business• Project management skills • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills• Proficiency in development of business analytics • Ability to analyze business processes and document utilizing modeling tools KEY COMPETENCIES:• Action Oriented• Business Acumen• Customer Focus• Drive for Results• Integrity & Trust• Interpersonal Savvy• Listening• Organizing• Perseverance• Planning• Presentation Skills• Priority Setting• Problem Solving• Process Management• Time Management• Timely Decision Making
