Process Controls Engineer

Process Controls Engineer   We are looking for a Chemical or Electrical Engineer with background in Process Controls to join our Controls Group at Sylvamo’s state of the art Eastover Mill.  Successful candidate will work closely with operations and Electrical/Instrumentation technicians to support operations, in addition to working on longer-term variation reduction, cost reduction and mill optimization projects.  Our Controls Engineers are expected to become proficient in process understanding and develop expertise in controls and optimization technology.  The Eastover Mill is located outside of Columbia, SC and is a leader and low-cost producer of uncoated freesheet.  The mill has recently upgraded to Emerson’s Delta V controls across the mill, and Sylvamo is investing in state-of-the-art advanced controls.    Minimum qualifications: BA Degree in Engineering 1 to 10 years’ experience in Process Controls in a production environment Knowledgeable in DCS and PLC programming    Preferred Requirements: Pulp and Paper experience and/or Delta V knowledge     Apply online at Sylvamo.com        Equal Opportunity Employer- Minorities/Females/Individuals with Disabilities/Veterans
