Job Overview
A Sylvan Dale Wedding Coordinator is charged with responding to wedding inquiries and executing all facets of wedding events while working cooperatively with the service teams to meet or exceed expectations.
We are seeking a highly organized and creative Wedding Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of wedding events, ensuring that each couple's vision is brought to life seamlessly. You will work closely with clients to understand their preferences and budget, while also managing vendors, timelines, and logistics. Your expertise in event planning and customer service will be essential in delivering memorable experiences for our clients.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essental duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed belwo are representative of the knowledge, skill and /or ability required.
Compensations: $18.00 per hour Shared Tip Pool ( Average $3.00 - $6.00 in additionally per hour)
Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming in-person, telephone and email inquiries.
- Give property tours to prospective guests.
- Work with group contact to plan the event.
- Use Excel to create proposals and utilze QuickBooks to send invoices and receive payments
- Host the event the day of, jumping in to help as needed.
- Follow up with the guests for feedback, reviews, and encourage guest return.
- Monitor wedding pages on the SDR website (and other marketing pages) and make updates as needed.
- Execute wedding marketing efforts
- Collaborate with couples to determine their wedding vision, budget, and preferences.
- Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and checklists to ensure smooth execution.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the planning process and on the wedding day.
- Oversee setup and breakdown of events to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Handle any issues or emergencies that arise during the planning process or on the event day.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in event planning - hospitality industry or a related field; experience specifically in weddings is a plus.
- Must be available to work holidays, weekends, and morning or evening shifts.
- Must agree to a criminal background check.
- Must have a current state issed driver's license.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint, in particular)
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to cooperatively intereact with co-workers.
- Comfortable giving direction
- Background in hospitality or customer service is highly desirable.
- Flexible with changing requirements.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Employee will regularly be required to withstand prolonged standing, walking, and sitting. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, walk, climb ladders, move tables and chairs, and carry equipment
