Job Overview
We are seeking an elementary math teacher for a 6 to 1 student teacher ratio after school program. This program runs from January 23rd to May 22nd, Mondays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 5pm.
Duties
- 3 hours of paid training
- Paper based curriculum with manipulatives provided. No need to create your own.
- Only 6 to 1 student to teacher ratio
- We handle parent and school interactions
-Provide instruction in elementary math
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation
- Assess students' progress and provide feedback to enhance their learning experience
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to ensure a productive learning environment
- Award motivation tokens for good behavior and allow kids to shop with their tokens once every few weeks
Experience
- Previous experience in teaching or working with children
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and colleagues
- Familiarity with special education practices and tutoring techniques
