What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Reading Tutor position at Sylvan Learning?
Summary: To provide Sylvan's customized supplemental educational programming and tutoring to reading students grades PreK - 6. Tutors evaluate the progress of each student and document their motivation/frustration level.
- Tutors have three students at one time. Tutors ensure that each student gets equal instruction time.
- Tutors will instruct students in the areas of grammar, phonics, vocabulary, and reading comprehension.
- All lesson plans are premade. All materials are provided. Grading is done with the student, so there is nothing for the tutor to bring home.
- Tutors provide effective feedback to students so that they are learning from their mistakes.
Job Type: Part-time
