Job Overview
As a Translator/Teacher, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between individuals or groups who speak different languages. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately convert written or spoken content from one language to another while maintaining the original meaning and context.
Duties
- Translate written documents from one language to another
- Interpret spoken conversations or speeches
- Proofread translated materials for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
- Transcribe audio recordings into written documents
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their translation needs
- Write summaries or reports in the target language
- Collaborate with other linguists or professionals to ensure accuracy and consistency in translations
Experience
- Proficiency in at least two languages, including English
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience as a Translator or in a similar linguistic role is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in translation work
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex ideas accurately
