Senior Product Specialist/Applications

An early-stage scientific instrumentation company has launched a game-changing analytical platform with breakthrough potential in chemical structure identification and molecular analysis.

Following a successful product launch, they are now hiring a hands-on, strategic applications expert to define high-impact use cases, guide experimental studies, and shape how the platform is validated, positioned, and adopted in key markets (life sciences, pharma, materials science, and more). This is a foundational role with direct influence on commercial strategy, product roadmap, and customer engagement.

In This Role, You Will

• Lead scientific application studies to characterize platform performance and define sample workflows
• Collaborate with software, product, and R&D teams to frame real-world use cases and surface technical requirements
• Provide internal validation that supports demo strategy, product messaging, and customer targeting
• Guide prioritization of application opportunities based on feasibility and commercial relevance
• Help shape the scientific and strategic direction of this emerging platform
  
  

We re looking for:

• A PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Sciences, or related field
• (Open to BS/MS with extensive applications experience)
• Deep experience with analytical instruments (e.g., GC, MS, NMR)
• Proven track record designing experimental workflows tied to commercial outcomes
• Comfort operating independently in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills able to interface with scientists, engineers, and commercial leads
