Key Responsibilities
- Threat Identification & Analysis
- Conduct in-depth analysis of cyber threats, including malware, phishing campaigns, and other attack vectors
- Identify and evaluate indicators of compromise (IOCs) to understand threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
- Intelligence Gathering & Reporting
- Collect, correlate, and synthesize threat intelligence from open-source intelligence (OSINT), dark web forums, threat intelligence feeds, and other relevant sources
- Produce high-quality written and oral threat intelligence reports, briefings, and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership
- Threat Hunting & Incident Response Support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., SOC, incident response, vulnerability management) to proactively identify, investigate, and mitigate emerging threats
- Provide subject matter expertise during security incidents, leveraging threat intelligence to guide containment and remediation efforts
- Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
- Stay current on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies; integrate findings into ongoing threat intelligence processes and security strategies
- Participate in knowledge sharing initiatives with government agencies, industry peers, and cybersecurity communities to strengthen overall cyber defense capabilities
- Mentorship & Leadership
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, helping them refine their investigative and analytical skills
- Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), best practices, and training materials for threat intelligence operations
- Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (preferred)
- Security certification required; Network or equivalent certification preferred
- Experience
- 10 years of experience conducting in-depth cyber threat analysis, including detailed research on malware, phishing campaigns, and adversary infrastructure
- Proven track record (10 years) of aggregating and evaluating threat intelligence from multiple sources (OSINT, dark web, commercial feeds)
- At least 5 years of experience producing written and oral reports for executive and technical audiences
- 5 years of experience using industry-standard cybersecurity tools (e.g., SIEM platforms, threat intelligence platforms, malware analysis tools)
- Demonstrated experience working in a technical office environment, collaborating with IT and security personnel
- Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of threat actor TTPs, the MITRE ATT&CK framework, and emerging attack techniques
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote)
- Familiarity with scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell) is a plus

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex technical information to diverse audiences
