Your role Position Summary:
To support the Production Planning Department with daily functions working with Rabbi weekly, putting production batches together along with working with Production. In addition, to be the point person/planner for small pack scheduling along with the bulk.
Essential Functions:
A. Put together Production Batches after Planning releases deliver to Production.15%
B. Work with Planners on Kosher batches and release and sit with Rabbi for kosher stamping. 15%
C. Plan bulk and small pack and confirm customer orders. Liaise with the Production team on small pack schedule and Customer Service-15%
D. Update notes in process orders and customer orders on raw material estimated time of arrivals. Work with planning on confirmation dates and help to confirm customer orders based upon estimated time of arrivals.10%
E. Ensure the Master Data is updated accordingly based upon MOQ's/Rounding Value's and other MRP data. 10%
F. Monitor Inventory Level and Order Packaging for use in Plant Operations. 10%
G. Work with other Planners to be trained as backup and to help out with Production Planning. 10%
H. Serve as back-up to process Goods Issue transactions. 5%
I. Other duties required. 10%
Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
· High school diploma or Associates Degree.
· Current working knowledge and use of SAP
· Minimum 2-3 years' experience in an Operations environment; preferably from the Flavor, Fragrance, Food Ingredients related industries.
· APICS or NAPM (ISM) certification a plus
Skills & Abilities:
· Fluent in spoken and written English
· Strong aptitude in working with numbers within an MRP materials management environment.
· Must be a self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interface with a variety of levels within the organization and vendor community.
· Ability to determine prioritize, plan, organize and follow through on projects.
· Must be resourceful in attaining information and providing options to resolve open issues.
· Must be analytical and objective with the ability to make sound judgements based on varying degrees of information.
· PC Computer skills: Word, Excel, SAP and knowledge of automated centralized manufacturing systems(s) essential.
