Job Responsibilities:
Provide ongoing support for enterprise business applications and associated teams.
Oversee and manage both on-premises and cloud backup systems.
Assist with infrastructure projects and handle operational support and maintenance as required.
Manage and maintain Oracle and SQL databases both on-premises and in cloud environments such as Azure and Oracle Cloud.
Work closely with application teams to manage and maintain the middle-tier environment.
Oversee vulnerability remediation for databases, storage, and backup systems.
Generate monthly and quarterly reports to track and deliver performance metrics for the team across multiple KPIs.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure systems and applications.
Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., Advanced Microsoft, Oracle, RedHat) are required.
Required Skills:
Proven experience managing skilled, high-performing teams.
Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members.
Skilled in managing team progress against delivery metrics, including presenting results to stakeholders.
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with a focus on team workload management and achieving overall goals.
Strong proficiency in administering and supporting SQL and Oracle databases.
Experience in managing Oracle Cloud services.
Expertise in backup solution implementation and management, as well as knowledge of Storage Area Network (SAN) infrastructure.
Experience with secure file transfer solutions for handling sensitive data and overseeing the middle-tier IT architecture.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and troubleshooting skills.
Capability to work independently or as part of a team.
Proficient in both spoken and written English, with the ability to understand and deliver highly technical content clearly and effectively.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service.
Flexibility in work schedule, particularly during peak support periods.
Ability to document processes effectively as needed.
Proficient in translating complex policies and protocols into simple, understandable terms.
Stay current on IT trends and security standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks and propose effective solutions.
