Janitor

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of a 100,000 sq. ft. facility. This role is independent, requiring an individual comfortable working alone throughout the day, completing all assigned cleaning tasks without a team of janitors. This is an active, all-day on-your-feet position, requiring movement across large areas of the facility. This position is essential to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for all employees. We are looking for someone reliable, self-motivated, and capable of taking ownership of facility cleanliness. Schedule: 7am- 3:30pm Mon-Fri

JOB DUTIES - Include but are not limited to the following:

• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, spraying, and wiping down surfaces in offices, manufacturing areas, and break rooms.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring all supplies are stocked and properly maintained.
• Vacuum carpeted areas and mop/sweep hard floors throughout the facility.
• Take out trash and recyclables from all areas daily, ensuring proper disposal.
• Restock all necessary supplies in bathrooms and break areas.
• Wipe down desks, chairs, and shared workspaces to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
• Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Supervisor.
• Complete other cleaning or maintenance tasks as assigned by the Facilities Supervisor.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail.
• Safety-minded approach to cleaning and facility upkeep.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable being on feet for 8 hours per day and walking long distances within the facility.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to 25 lbs.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous janitorial experience.
