Synaptic Pediatric Therapies is seeking a full-time Front Desk Administrator for our DeSoto location.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Scheduling appointments for patients (new, reoccurring, or make-up)
- Checking in patients daily
- Greet parents and patients as they arrive, ensuring a friendly, welcoming environment and answer their questions in a knowledgeable and friendly manner.
- Manage the reception area, maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the patient charts
- Prepare new patients files for upcoming appointments
- Ordering office supplies when the inventory is low
- Administrating caseloads for therapists
- Assisting staff with any needs
- Responding to all calls, emails, and walk-ins
- Gathering referrals for new patients
- Completing intake of new patients
- Educate clients on pre-appointment requirements
- Taking payments and ensuring balances are up-to-date
- Tracking and scheduling reevaluations and Initial evaluations
- Communicating with insurance companies as needed
- Verify patients insurance coverage and follow up on benefits/authorizations
- Handle general administrative tasks such as filling, copying, and data entry
- Other administrative duties as required
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-3 years of experience as a front-office administrator
- Experience in a pediatric setting is preferred but not required
- Familiar with using an EMR system, preferred but not required
- Experience with insurance verification
- Must be compassionate and empathetic towards kids/family
- Ability to greet and interact positively with children and all clients
- Excellent communication skills (phone, email, in-person)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive)
- Strong data entry skills, attention to detail, and solve problems
- Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment
- Must be detail-oriented and organized
SCHEDULE:
Clinic hours are between 9 AM and 6:30 PM. Monday - Friday.
COMPENSATION:
$20 an hour. This is a full-time hourly position. Bi-weekly pay schedule.
