TITLE: Talent Development Specialist
REPORTS TO: Talent Development Manager
Position Summary: The Talent Development Specialist will coordinate and facilitate programs and activities that promote personal, educational, and employment-related development for all team members.
Scope: The majority of decisions are made using the supervisor’s directive and following company policies and procedures. The incumbent has no authority that is not specifically delegated from the Director of Training and Talent Development, Regional Manager, Director of Property Management or Principal.

Essential Duties
• Conducts new-hire onboarding, on-the-job, one-on-one, eLearning, and classroom training.
• Executes training calendar and establishes priorities directly related to organizational needs.
• Delivers best practices, customer service, operational policies and procedures, and position-based skills training to all new and existing team members.
• Supports new team members and hiring managers during the initial onboarding process.
• Participates in designing and implementing training solutions which include a blended approach to learning such as coaching, 1:1 session, and action learning.
• Participates in designing and creating training tools, training content, handouts, ad guides to improve learning outcomes for a variety of training initiatives.
• Creates, delivers, and monitors the impact of new and continue training for team members.
• Responsible for the accuracy of team member learning paths, resources, training compliance and attendee records in the Company’s Learning Management System.
• Serves as a liaison between onsite team members and corporate office for identifying and communicating training issues and challenges.
• Collaborates with both regional and property managers to identify training needs and mapping out development plans for teams and individuals.
• Analyzes training needs and participates in developing new training programs or modifying and improving existing programs.
• Assists the operations team with new property acquisitions to ensure appropriate training for new team members.
• Train and support mentorship program including ongoing Train the Trainer sessions and involvement in selecting mentors in the application process.

Education/Experience:
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of multifamily experience required. Prior property training experience preferred.
Professional multi-family and/or training designation preferred.
Language Ability:
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Reasoning Ability:
Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Prior ResMan experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications
- Property management software experience (i.e. Entrata, Yardi, or OneSite) is highly preferred.
- Previous Learning Management System (LMS) experience is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years property management experience, or 4 years relevant work experience in a similar role within a dynamic and fast paced work environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- Comfortable communicating with all levels of management and employees.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization, project management, and time management skills.
- Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills with the ability to utilize sound judgement and take the initiative to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and make decisions within the functional area of responsibility.
- Strong analytical skills.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Training Supoort Specialist position requires the following physical and mental capabilities to be performed:
Constantly (66% to 100% of the time)
Writing, keyboarding, grasping, turning, using finger dexterity, giving and receiving verbal communication both in person and over the telephone, giving and receiving written communication, working indoors, lifting and carrying items weighing 10lbs or less, performing detail and general observation.

Being on foot, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climbing stairs, pushing or pulling, reaching above shoulder height, sitting, lifting and carrying items weighing 20lbs or less, and observing things clearly beyond an arm’s reach.
