Job Title: Procurement Specialist / Procurement Buyer (Contractor)
Located in Clarksburg, MD - onsite. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM EST with opportunities for overtime.
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist / Procurement Buyer to join our client's team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing custom hardware components such as electronics and metal parts to support production efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and purchasing custom hardware.
- Maintaining relationships with suppliers and negotiating prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Preparing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
- Tracking procurement expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams in Engineering, Quality, and Production to manage supply risks and opportunities.
- Monitoring inventory levels to ensure optimal stock without over-purchasing.
- Maintaining accurate procurement records and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Experience in procurement, particularly for custom hardware or electronics.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (Microsoft Excel skills are an asset).
- The ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
