Job Description:
The VP, FinOps Program Leader is responsible for overseeing financial operations for cloud usage and ensuring cost transparency, accountability, and optimization across the organization. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Engineering, Operations, IT, and various business stakeholders to implement industry standard FinOps practices, manage cloud spending, and align cloud financial strategies with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the organization's FinOps strategy to manage cloud costs and drive optimized financial operations and accountability.
- Implement FinOps frameworks, roadmaps, and cost-saving best practices.
- Define and establish governance standards, practices, and standardize organizational procedures for cloud financial management.
- Establish and manage cost allocation models and dashboards that align cloud financial management with business objectives to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance and IT to create and implement strategies to optimize cloud costs across the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, Business Administration, or related field and a minimum of 8 years of experience; or in lieu of degree, 12 years of experience in financial management, IT finance, or cloud cost management.
- Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or similar programs.
- Experience with cloud cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, Google Cloud Billing, or third-party solutions like Flexera, Cloudability, etc.).
