Role Summary/Purpose:
Synchrony is looking for an experienced healthcare marketer and strategist to help us exponentially grow Synchrony financial offerings within the Health and Wellness Platform. This exciting new role, VP, Healthcare Client Marketing, Wellness will oversee industry and client marketing for three growth pillars including Healthcare Specialties, Retail, and Health Systems.
This is a high-profile, entrepreneurial position. Ideal candidates must be experienced mentoring and leading a team in a dynamic, high growth environment. Candidates must demonstrate strategic, innovative thinking and have experience in healthcare and retail wellness executing market entry and market development plans. This position requires C-Suite marketing relationship experience, strong presentation skills and the ability to sell in consumer & staff marketing initiatives to wellness clients. The role will also be the marketing lead for business development and sales efforts within Wellness and require meetings with prospective clients and their marketing leadership team to negotiate, influence and develop marketing strategies and plans. Essential Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy for 30 launched markets & innovative entry strategies for new markets: Create B2B and B2B2C go-to-market campaigns to support selected high-growth markets as well as multi-market campaigns to maximize impact while driving efficiency. Partner with sales team to segment accounts and align resources based on business goals and growth opportunities. Leverage research, trends, and data to define target audiences, messaging, channels, media outlets, and association partners. Build omni-channel digital and traditional marketing plans and execute to drive provider enrollments, consumer applications, and consumer usage of the CareCredit card and and other Synchrony products. Define and executive content strategies to augment business goals.
Led Wellness & Network Expansion for marketing team: Partner with Strategic Initiatives, Market Insights and Analytics teams to conduct feasibility analysis of new markets and build market entry strategies including category/thought leadership initiatives, key industry and media partnership opportunities, STPs, and associations. Develop BD pitch decks and playbooks for new markets. Establish go-to market launch plans and commercialization strategies with strategic cross-functional partners.
Build Category and Brand Leadership across markets: top of the funnel awareness strategies to build patient financing category and the CareCredit brand across healthcare specialties & wellness markets and within key market segments. Execute content development and paid/earned media opportunities.
Expand Network through B2B Enrollment: Build lead generation strategy and execute marketing plans to drive awareness, leads and enrollment to support business goals for Wellness including strategizing and executing omni-channel digital, social, email, and direct marketing campaigns to drive awareness, leads, and conversion of leads targeting B2B retail wellness, healthcare professionals, health systems executives and the medical and wellness community to meet business goals. Lead content strategy and execution driving synergies across markets where possible.
Exponential Growth of Wellness Industries: leverage segmentation and analytics to build segmented marketing strategies that drive B2B engagement, consumer application and purchase volume. This includes managing a team to execute omni-channel, digital-first marketing plans targeting providers and their in-store/office distribution channels for lifecycle and product marketing. Defining value props and offers when possible.
Lead & Acquire Client and Partner Relationships: innovate and execute omni-channel client & partner specific marketing plans to align with business goals for prospective and contractual clients. Present, influence, and sell-through plans and programs to external executives. Drive partner enrollments, consumer applications and purchase volume via omni-channel campaigns and align strategies to ensure the clients/partners also obtain their business goals. Partner with consumer and cardholder teams to initiate strategies to meet client growth goals including acquisition and spend/get offers. Partner with Business Development and Sales to make goals.
Motivate and build team to support growth: including FTE and agencies as well as managing cross-functional teams and workstreams. Requires a high degree of prioritization of programs to align with resources.
Sales Enablement: development of industry specific sales tools for call center and field sales.
Trade and partner events: partner with sales on event strategies and execution that improve brand awareness, thought leadership, enrollments, and B2B engagement and performance. Industry event management and speaking engagements: managing pre and post-show communications, event branding, booth drivers, speaker submissions, speaking engagements / presentations.
Partner with CareCredit’s cardholder / consumer marketing team to define contractual and categorical client marketing strategies to support Wellness business objectives.
Collaborating with PR teams to augment paid strategies with earned media and PR.
Manage Wellness budget including forecasting and tracking with accuracy.
Identify synergies and work collaboratively with other B2B and Consumer teams.
Lead project management and annual marketing calendar, leveraging allocated resources
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 10 years of marketing experience
A minimum of 7 years of marketing experience that includes strategy development as well as innovating and executing comprehensive multi-channel marketing plans with strong experience in digital marketing
A minimum of 4 years client-facing experience in a sales, marketing, or business development capacity
A minimum of 2 years consumer marketing experience
A minimum of 3 years healthcare marketing experience, with at least 1 in Health Systems
Ability to travel ~30%
Desired Characteristics:
Experience with healthcare B2B and industry marketing strongly preferred
Financial Services, Consumer Credit experience strongly preferred
Experience with B2B and B2B2C Health Systems preferred
Experience managing C-Suite level client relationships for marketing organization
Experience with Business Development and acquiring new relationships
Experience leading client marketing and client relationships for healthcare or retail wellness accounts preferred
Salesforce and marketing cloud experience
Experience in marketing strategy including new market entry, market feasibility analysis, initiating and leveraging market research, innovation and execution of omni-channel plans and campaigns.
Experienced team leader including building and motivating new teams in an entrepreneurial environment.
MBA or relevant Master’s degree
Experience managing creative agencies, research or analytic partners
Flexible, high energy, self-starter with an emphasis on action
Able to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced, changing, complex, environment
Collaborative team player with ability to influence across all levels of organization
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

The salary range for this position is 150,000.00 - 250,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older

You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.
