We are looking for excellence obsessed Process Control Manager that is focused on delivering best in class products and customer experiences. As a critical member of the Product organization, the AVP Process Control Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing a wholistic repository of documentation and executed control artifacts for the Payment Security product. This covers all documented controls within the Process Risk Universe, working with individual control owners to ensure all controls have published and up-to-date job aides, collecting evidence of executed controls, assessing thoroughness and accuracy of evidence, and cataloguing evidence in a format that supports independently conducted surveillance activities and facilitates Regulatory and Internal Audit engagements. This Process Control Manager is comfortable working in a highly regulated environment, has a keen attention to detail, is a team player that collaborates well cross functionally and acts as an owner, proactively taking initiative.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with process owner to ensure timely updates to RAQ, PRC/PRCSA, Policy/Procedure updates and other L3 Process Owner requirements.
  • Work with individual control owners on proper control documentation to meet new heightened standards.
  • Develop and manage a Payment Security control repository to house all evidence in support of executed controls and that said evidence is properly catalogued.
  • Responsible to ensure controls executed by control owners are accurately documented with corresponding job aides, and controls are executed according to control requirements.
  • Primary liaison and coordination with Risk Testing and Growth Surveillance engagements facilitating control evidence executed by team control owners.
  • Develop and manage a process universe dashboard that demonstrates status of all control activities and make recommendations where gaps or deficiencies may arise.
  • Continuous modernization of Process Risk Controls, coordinating with process owner and control owners to ensure control efficiency, efficacy, and PRC represents an accurate viewpoint of current operating risk environment.
  • Work collaboratively with control owners, compliance, and growth surveillance teams to ensure executed controls adhere with all external and internal compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree. In lieu of a degree, HS Diploma/GED and 7 years of experience in a regulated Financial Services organization.
  • 3 years of professional work experience in a regulated Financial Services organization.
  • 3 years of experience with analytical, organizational, and decision-making responsibilities.
  • 2 years agile experience.
  • 2 years of Issues Management and/or project management experience.
  • 2 years cross functional team leadership experience.
  • Ability to quickly prioritize tasks based on value and urgency.

Desired Qualifications

  • 3 years’ experience leading and supporting cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and policies.
  • Understanding of internal issue management frameworks, workflows, and tools.
  • Adapts well in fast pace, evolving environments.
  • Credit card, consumer finance or financial services industry experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage initiatives and projects in a matrixed environment.
  • Outstanding communications, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.

Grade/Level: 11

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
