Technical Sales Support Specialist - Law Enforcement - REMOTE
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales and Support Specialist to join our team focused on providing advanced technologies to law enforcement agencies. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with exceptional sales skills to demonstrate, explain, and sell specialized mission critical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with law enforcement agencies at all levels
- Conduct product demonstrations and proof-of-concept trials for company technologies
- Create customized solutions addressing specific agency requirements and challenges
- Develop detailed technical proposals and participate in bid processes
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets
- Stay current on industry regulations, compliance requirements, and technology advancements
- Represent the company at Industry conferences and trade shows
- Technical Support Responsibilities
- Provide technical implementation support for new and deployed systems
- Conduct on-site and remote troubleshooting for deployed systems
- Deliver comprehensive training programs to end-users on proper equipment operation
- Collaborate with engineering teams to customize solutions based on client needs
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for client reference
- Customer Success Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned accounts
- Conduct regular check-ins to ensure optimal system performance and client satisfaction
- Identify opportunities for system upgrades or expanded capabilities
- Gather client feedback to inform product development roadmaps
- Build long-term relationships based on technical expertise and responsive service
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in technical sales or support roles, preferably selling to government or law enforcement clients
- Experience with public safety or law enforcement sales cycles
- Experience providing hands-on technical support and troubleshooting
- Strong presentation and communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts
- Understanding of law enforcement operations and technology requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, or related field
- Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior law enforcement or military experience
- Technical certifications related to communications systems or network technologies
- Experience with CJIS compliance and requirements
- Knowledge of procurement processes for government agencies
- Background in telecommunications or RF technologies
- Experience with RFP/RFQ response development
