Our challenge
We are looking for a skilled Business Systems Analyst with a strong background in commercial lending to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business needs, defining system requirements, and facilitating the implementation of technology solutions that enhance our commercial lending processes. This role demands a combination of analytical skills, business acumen, and a thorough understanding of commercial lending practices.
Additional Information
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Dallas, TX is $110k - $117k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Gather and document detailed business requirements from stakeholders within the commercial lending division.
- Conduct feasibility studies and create business cases for proposed solutions.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design, develop, and implement systems that support commercial lending operations.
- Prepare functional specifications and use cases for system enhancements and new developments.
- Evaluate existing commercial lending processes and identify opportunities for optimization and automation.
- Recommend best practices and innovative solutions to improve efficiency and user experience.
- Participate in project planning and management activities, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet business objectives.
- Monitor project progress and facilitate communication among team members and stakeholders.
- Develop test plans and conduct system testing to ensure that functionality meets business requirements.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with end-users to validate system changes.
- Create training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users to facilitate smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
- Provide ongoing support to users, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to commercial lending systems.
- Ensure that systems and processes adhere to regulatory standards and internal policies related to commercial lending.
- Assist in audits and compliance assessments as required.
Requirements:
You are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, 2-3 years specifically in the commercial lending sector.
- Strong knowledge of commercial lending products, processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with project management methodologies is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with lending software applications and loan origination systems (LOS).
- Understanding of data analysis, database management, and reporting tools.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
