Our challenge
We are looking for a highly skilled and driven Data Analyst with expertise in SQL Server and business analysis. The ideal candidate should have 10 years of professional experience in data analytics, reporting, and business intelligence, with a strong ability to bridge the gap between technical data insights and business decision-making.
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Analyze large datasets to extract insights and trends that support business decisions.
- The role requires a deep understanding of SQL Server, data management, and visualization tools, along with experience in analyzing business requirements and translating them into actionable data solutions. A solid grasp of data governance, ETL processes, and performance optimization is essential.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
- Perform data validation and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Identify patterns, correlations, and anomalies in datasets to support decision-making.
- Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data.
- Design and optimize database queries for efficient performance.
- Maintain and update databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Work with IT and data engineers to support ETL processes and data pipeline improvements.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into data solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and recommend data-driven strategies.
- Document business processes and provide insights to improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis using data insights.
- Assist in defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics.
Requirements:
You are:
- 8-10 years of experience in Data Analysis, Business Analysis, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL, and database management.
- Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Additional Information
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Jacksonville, FL is $1000k - $105k/year & benefits (see below).
