Description
Responsible for the implementation of all Environmental, Health & Safety programs consistent with federal, state, local and corporate regulatory requirements.
Implementing hazardous, biological/medical, and radioactive waste programs including routine pickup, transportation, accounting, processing and shipping activities
Conducting regulatory required inspections of equipment, incoming materials and areas
Working on routing EHS assignments per written procedures/policies, where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required
Receives instruction on routing work and new assignments.
Has good interpersonal skills, is attentive and approachable.
Works under moderate supervision of supervisor
Supporting multiple sites
Qualifications:
High School Diploma with 2 years of experience
Associates Degree with 1 year of experience.
Bachelor's Degree
Strong oral and written communication skills
Able to work independently
Self-motivated
Able to lead cross-functional teams
Standard MS Office knowledge
Hazardous Waste Management
Laboratory safety program support
Safety Training Coordination
Records management / regulatory compliance
Inspections and incident response
Environmental health and safety experience
Experience with the pharma industry is a plus

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
