Responsibilities
- Complete tasks as assigned throughout the facility, providing technical support for installed and future electrical and control equipment.
- Be responsible for installation, design, project management, system modifications, troubleshooting, and failure analysis of electrical and control equipment, including a 50 MW power distribution system, 2 steam turbine generators, and 10 hydro generators.
This role may require light travel and involves following detailed mill safety procedures and taking appropriate precautions.
Qualifications
- Proficient in MS Office and AutoCad.
- Excellent knowledge of AC & DC drives and drive systems.
- Solid background in PLCs, integrated DCS systems, and networking.
- Solid background in switchgear, motor controls, power systems protective relaying, and various software systems.
- Experience with Allen Bradley, Reliance, Foxboro, and Honeywell equipment is essential.
- Ability to multitask efficiently under demanding circumstances.
- Ability to work well with others as well as individually.
- Ability to maintain electrical data, documentation, and drawings.
- Ability to take the lead in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical system issues and defining potential new technology.
- A B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with 3 - 5 years of work experience is required.
- A solid working knowledge of Microsoft applications and Honeywell TDC3000 is preferred.
- Candidate must be motivated and self-directed.
