Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee construction, operations, and future growth of a new municipal electrical utility.
- Manage outside contractors and self-performance teams, ensuring project milestones are met.
- Assist in planning, contract development, budgeting, and execution of the utility system build.
- Oversee the transition from construction to operations and maintenance of the new system.
- Work with management to develop and implement a cutting-edge electrical utility system.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Provide leadership in long-term system planning, expansion, and future infrastructure improvements.
- Maintain a high level of efficiency, safety, and quality control throughout all project phases.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical utility construction and project management.
- Proven experience in the construction of municipal utility systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical utility design from transmission to distribution meters.
- Ability to manage budgets, contracts, and multiple contractors effectively.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) with a focus on electrical utility design.
- Expertise in utility planning, system operations, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
