Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.

- Project Scope: Transmission build-out
- Provide safety oversight over all construction activities taking place on-site for the Rocky Mountain Solar project and provide periodic support for the Waterton Solar project.
- Conduct site safety orientations, participate in Pre-Job Safety Reviews and project planning to ensure successful and safe execution of work tasks
- Conduct daily site safety observations
- Provide coaching, conduct a weekly 'all hands safety meeting'
- Manage all hot work permitting, overseeing all incident investigations, and generating all required documentation in SiteDocs.
- Represent Contractor Safety in the field in Texas Panhandie/Southeast New Mexico Region
- Conduct focused work site and crew observations for contractors to identify safety excellence and hazards.
- Provide annual safety audits and focused self-assessments to measure
- and evaluate hazard controls and hazard control programs and deliver feedback to business unit management on their level of regulatory compliance.
- Will function as a consultant to local safety committees, employees, and management.
- Will assist in program development and direction and be responsible to audit the results.
- Overall focus on Transmission Contractor Safety
- Incident response! investigations from our perspective
- Monitor and interpret federal, state, and local safety and health rules and regulations which impact the business units and recommend compliance options in conjunction with safety policies and programs.
- Availability for PMs for Safety questions, issues, and resolutions
- Work with Corporate IH and Safety through updated initiatives
- Communicate corporate safety to Contractors
- Certified Utilities Safety Professional certification.
- Commensurate experience needed.
- Proficiency with Microsoft office; Spreadsheets in Excel, Experience with Eco Online
- At least 5 years transmission substation experience
- Working knowledge of OSHA Compliance
- Previous experience working with utility contractors.
- Experience with site personnel.
- Must have an extensive knowledge in utilities business
- Journey/lineman, journeyman electrician background is helpful
- Be comfortable with relationship management and working with different personalities
- Self motivated.
- Team player, has an interest in working with people.
