Roles and Responsibilities :
A 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor to lead the charge in mechanical uptime and ensure excellence every step of the way. The Maintenance Supervisor will supervise the skilled hourly employees reporting to him / her, in order to provide efficient and timely maintenance services to assigned division while maintaining safety and quality standards expected from the industry.
Specific areas of responsibility include all mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical controls for the plant's processing, packaging equipment, building, utility and waste water pretreatment with high quality and low cost.

Schedule the daily Preventative Maintenance (PM) or Work order (WO) assignment by technician daily.
Manage maintenance associates with respect to hours, vacations, floor coverage, position placement, motivation and performance daily, weekly and by the month
Coach, motivate, train on the job, and assist maintenance associates in job or task related issues in order to build and maintain employee motivation and performance.
Complete annual performance appraisals on time.
Maintain maintenance inventory accuracy through daily parts requisition and weekly cycle counts.
Maintain area expense on R&M Material Fix, and Hourly Indirect OT.
Hours of Work : 1 : 30pm-11 : 00pm, Monday-Friday and as needed to meet customer demand. Additional pay for on-call, call-backs, and Saturday / Sunday hours when worked.
Qualifications :
Technical degree, license or certificates preferred
Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in manufacturing maintenance or equivalent maintenance environment.
Electrical distribution 480-volt power, low voltage, electrical controls to include PLC's, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical skills, the ability to read blue prints and technical manuals
Microsoft Office applications, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), PLC Software applications, technical reading and writing, leadership, problem solving, budget management.
Ammonia refrigeration knowledge would be plus.
Must be willing to train on ammonia refrigeration system.
Must be willing to be on call for department and on call rotation for refrigeration system and weekend plant inspection.
Valid US driver's license and vehicle to commute
Boiler and or Ammonia refrigeration experience is a plus.
Manufacturing maintenance : 10 years (Preferred)
Management / supervisory : 5 years (Preferred)
Food manufacturing 10 years (Preferred)
Experience working with packaging machines, Thermoformers, and rotary machines, Vemag, Clipping Equipment for casing material.
Experience working with CMMS system to produce and track work orders.
Experience with daily start-up and breakdown of production equipment.
Plant production rate should meet or exceed defined hourly rate.
Knowledge of equipment uptime tracking.
Stand : Must be able to remain standing on feet for long periods of time
Walk : Needs to frequently move about inside the facilities to inspect products
Work Environment : Constantly works in cool rooms, ranging from 35-45 degrees F and damp conditions; occasionally works in temperature range of -5 to 100 degree internally and externally
Carry weight, lift : Occasionally lifts tools and equipment weighing up to 80 pounds
Twisting, turning and bending : Moves production tools and equipment weighing up to 80 pounds around production facility
Use hands / fingers to handle or feel : Constantly inspects, repairs, removes and replaces machinery and other production equipment
Climb or balance : Occasionally ascends / descends stairs and ladders to access and work on machinery and equipment
Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl : Constantly positions self through stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling to inspect materials and quality processes
Talk / hear : Frequently communicates with co-workers and supervisor(s) regarding maintenance needs and projects; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
See : Must be able to identify defects and inspect machinery and equipment
