Somerset County Metals distribution company is seeking a bright and energetic bookkeeper to join the team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
Job Responsibilities:
* A/P & A/R Functions
* Generate weekly A/P check batch
* Support Accounts Receivable by corresponding with customers & maintaining invoice status
* Review and verify invoices and check requests, sort, code, and match invoices
* Preparation of financial statements and reports
* Maintaining customer files and credit reviews
* Photocopying, Scanning and Faxing as needed
* Obtaining and organizing various tax and insurance records from vendors and customers
* Supporting President and Controller with daily tasks and projects
* Ensuring office runs smoothly and efficiently
* Assisting Sales with customer inquiries
* Supporting Purchasing with PO requirements and monitoring inventory levels
Requirements & Qualifications:
* 2 to 3 years accounting related experience required
* 2-year associates degree minimum, 4-year BA/BS/CPA preferred
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Ability to identify, evaluate, and research problems related to the accounting function
