We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team Part-time. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting principles and practices, with a focus on accounts payable processes. This position will transition to fulltime for the right candidate in the future.
-Process accounts payable invoices accurately and timely
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions
- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Support the accounting team with ad-hoc tasks as needed
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and GAAP principles
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliation and budgeting
- Familiarity with accounts receivable processes is a plus
- Ability to generate financial reports and perform financial report writing
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Previous experience as an accounting clerk is beneficial
