What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Supervisor position at Synerfac Technical Staffing?
BASIC JOB FUNCTION:
The Lab Supervisor will oversee the Food Safety and Quality Systems for the Clover Food Additives Lab . Monitor the site for compliance and identify areas for continuous improvement. Utilize current training programs and develop new programs that ensure the site understands the requirements to maintain our certifications. Be the key contact for audits and update all certifications as defined by the standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* People Leadership and Development: Support the Senior Quality Manager in the growth and development of the staff, including: collecting feedback from the staff and implementing ideas that will enhance the Food Safety at the site
* Responsible for Clover Food Safety and Quality Systems. If receive reports of Food Safety or Quality problems, initiate action to resolve
* SQF Practitioner
* Oversee the development, implementation, review and maintenance of the Food Safety and Quality Systems - specifically the SQF system
* Communicate to relevant personnel all information essential to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the SQF system
* Comply with SOPs, cGMPs and safety programs
* Perform HACCP and Food Defense tasks as needed
* Assist with completing regulatory information requests as needed
* Other duties as may be assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor"s Degree in Food Science, Chemistry or related field
* 5 years of experience of a combination of people leadership and working in a lab environment
* Experience in microbiological testing in the food industry preferred
* Experience in a manufacturing environment and maintaining GFSI and / or ISO 9001 standards
* Proven food safety expertise in a manufacturing environment
* SQF Certified Practitioner credential strongly preferred
Hours 7:30am - 4:30pm.
Some OT required.

Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
