We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Lead Mold Maker. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, fabrication, repair, and maintenance of high-precision molds used in our manufacturing processes. Job Responsibilities
- Lead the design and construction of complex molds for various manufacturing processes
- Operate and program CNC machines, EDM machines, and other relevant equipment
- Verify dimensions of finished parts to ensure they conform to specifications using dial indicators, gauge blocks, calipers, and micrometers
- Supervise a team of mold makers, providing guidance, training, and support
- Ensure all molds meet stringent quality standards and specifications
- Oversee the regular maintenance and repair of molds to extend their lifespan and optimize performance
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and perform repairs on tools, inserts, cavities and core blocks that are part of the mold build
- Ensure all mold-making activities comply with company safety policies and industry regulations
- Conduct safety training and audits as required
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mold making, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or lead role
- Experience with Wire, Sinker, Grinding, CNC Lathe, 5-Axis hard milling equipment
- Extensive knowledge of mold making, tool and die processes, and materials
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Ability to train and mentor junior team members
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
