The Project Engineer will plan and supervise a wide range of development projects from conception to completion. Projects include logistic / warehouse / storage buildings & infrastructure, marine terminal / docks / stevedoring and maritime transportation equipment and infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations staff, engineers, architects, etc to design, permit, and construct a wide variety of facility improvements to support the ongoing growth of the company
• Solicit / evaluate proposals and make recommendations for award for A / E design services for various capital development projects
• Develop work scopes for various construction trades utilizing finalized design drawings / documentation
• Prepare project schedules / timelines consistent with operational requirements / needs
• Identify and solicit bids from multiple contractors from each construction trade required to complete the project
• Evaluate and summarize bid results, provide recommendation for contract award
• Ensure compliance with all permitting requirements.
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
• Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
• Oversee maintenance and repair activities associated with all facilities.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental permits.
• Create and prepare project reports as needed.
• Project Planning / Project Management
• Drawing Site Layouts and Storage Calculations.
• Scheduling & overseeing contractors.
• Setting up site maintenance plans
