Animal Care Technician (Windham, ME)
This position works as part of a team caring for production mice in a large laboratory like setting. Responsibilities include feeding and watering, cleaning cages, running a cage wash machine, and other animal husbandry tasks. Position may also include cross training in ascites production tasks such as immunizing animals, withdrawing ascites, maintaining supply inventories, and computerized documentation.
We offer a training program in animal care and production operations. As a production facility, we require above average attention to detail and ability to read and understand written technical documents. We expect a high standard of animal care and diligent compliance with animal welfare regulations.
- Not eligible to work in this environment if you currently have contact with rodents or rabbits.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen prior to starting work.
- Candidates must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
