What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Engineering Department Head - HVAC position at Synerfac?
Our MEP Engineering client has a need to hire a Department Head for their Mechanical Design division in Pittsburgh, PA.
- Coordinate team's workload while also working independently on multiple concurrent projects
- Prepare contract documents and specifications or complex building systems
- Train, support, and mentor team members
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with quality
- Provide technical expertise in a variety of HVAC systems
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with clients as a key contact
- Independently complete calculations for and develop full design of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems, including full equipment selection, for all scales of projects
- Write specifications and ensure coordination of their preparation with other disciplines
- Conduct system analysis and comparisons regarding economical and functional considerations
