What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineer position at Synerfac?
The Project Engineer will plan and supervise a wide range of development projects from conception to completion. Projects include logistic / warehouse / storage buildings & infrastructure, marine terminal / docks / stevedoring and maritime transportation equipment and infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with operations staff, engineers, architects, etc to design, permit, and construct a wide variety of facility improvements to support the ongoing growth of the company
- Solicit / evaluate proposals and make recommendations for award for A / E design services for various capital development projects
- Develop work scopes for various construction trades utilizing finalized design drawings / documentation
- Prepare project schedules / timelines consistent with operational requirements / needs
- Identify and solicit bids from multiple contractors from each construction trade required to complete the project
- Evaluate and summarize bid results, provide recommendation for contract award
- Ensure compliance with all permitting requirements.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
- Oversee maintenance and repair activities associated with all facilities.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental permits.
- Create and prepare project reports as needed.
- Project Planning / Project Management
- Drawing Site Layouts and Storage Calculations.
- Scheduling & overseeing contractors.
- Setting up site maintenance plans
