The Business Intelligence Analyst will play a key role in supporting the CEO by providing data-driven insights to enhance strategic decision-making. This highly analytical and detail-oriented professional will develop and manage dashboards, reports, and financial models using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and SQL. Responsibilities include conducting in-depth financial analysis, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and identifying industry trends that impact business priorities. The role also involves financial modeling, P&L management, and benchmarking competitor performance to optimize company strategy. Additionally, the analyst will support executive-level reporting, investor presentations, and special projects, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights for business growth.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting
The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards, Excel reports, and SQL-based queries to provide real-time financial and operational insights. This role requires aggregating and analyzing large datasets to support data-driven decision-making at the executive level. Ensuring data accuracy and integrity is a key priority, and the analyst will implement best practices in data governance and validation to maintain reliable and high-quality reporting.
Financial Analysis & Business Performance Evaluation
This role involves conducting financial modeling, P&L management, and cash flow analysis to assess the company's financial health and identify key drivers of performance. The analyst will track and analyze EBITDA, revenue trends, cost structures, and investment performance to help optimize business strategies. Additionally, they will develop and present reports on budget variances, profitability analysis, and return on investment (ROI), ensuring that the CEO has a clear view of financial performance and opportunities for improvement.
Strategic Insights & Industry Benchmarking
The analyst will monitor market trends, competitor financial performance, and regulatory changes within the healthcare and private equity sectors to help shape strategic decision-making. By identifying patterns and anomalies in operational and financial data, they will proactively highlight risks and opportunities that may impact the company's strategic direction. Their insights will drive actionable recommendations that support competitive positioning and long-term growth.
Executive-Level Support & Special Projects
In this high-impact role, the analyst will prepare clear, concise, and visually compelling presentations and reports for board meetings, investor discussions, and executive strategy sessions. They will work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and investment teams to gather and analyze critical business data that informs strategic planning. Additionally, the analyst will play a key role in due diligence efforts for potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions, supporting the CEO in making well-informed investment decisions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3-7 years of experience in business intelligence, financial analysis, or data analytics-preferably in private equity, healthcare, or investment banking.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, macros), Power BI (DAX, visualization), and SQL (queries, stored procedures).
- Strong understanding of financial statements, KPI tracking, and valuation methods.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to C-suite executives.
- Experience in Lean Six Sigma principles and workflow automation (Power Automate).
- Excellent project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced communication and stakeholder management experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- High attention to detail with a strong sense of urgency.
